I'm excited to announce that Paper Cupcake is reopened!!!
After some meticulous thought, we have decided to primarily focus on paper goods for the time being. This includes stationary, prints, original art, and journals. So far in the store, we have two journals and a wicked skull print!!

Check us out!! And also, be sure to stay tuned for more and more merch!

We are hoping to expand to other types of items very soon and we are also looking to collaborate with other artists.

This is going to be a big year for Paper Cupcake and we would love for YOU to be a part of making it so awesome!!

Waiting sucks. Trust me, I know. But being a full-time college student means I only have so much time to devote to Paper Cupcake. Darn it. Nevertheless, I'm working on some art and some ideas for practical, simple and cute greeting cards, as well as other stationary products. Our new focus for the time being is going to be paper good. I'm considering partnering up with another artist I know, Wild Violets. They make more spiritual things, but more on that if it works out. Also, we're working on a website, where we're going to have a link to this blog, some videos, and all sorts of other goodies. I can't wait!!!

Some sad news and some good news!

Well, obviously, I did not roll out my awesome Halloween-tines in time for the holiday :-( However, the Overcast Sentiments are still in the works. I'm trying to hunt down a better print shop to make them for me because the one I'm currently using just isn't up to snuff.

That's not the good news, however! I Paper Cupcake is proud to introduce the hair goods line! We're starting with some pinup- and burlesque-inspired hair flowers. They're fabulous for going out on the town or just spicing up an everyday look. Click on the pictures to be taken to the Etsy shop.

This is an exciting time for Paper Cupake...

About two months ago, I was approached on Etsy by Jane from A Craftier World. She told me that for their second issue, ACW was going to feature school-inspired art and they wanted to include my Moleskine journals. I was thrilled! Well, after waiting in anticipation, it's up and ready to go! You can find the issue by going here (or clicking the picture below) and clicking on either link. Unfortunately, that particular journal featured in the issue was snatched up shortly after the interview, but there are more to come. Meanwhile, check out our other products, like our lego accessories, earrings, and picture frame!

A Sneak Peek!

I decided that since I probably won't get around to actually making these very soon (I am a full-time college student, after all), I want to post some sketches of the greeting card line that was mentioned in the last post. I'm hoping to get a gocco printer in a couple of months, to streamline the process of making the cards. Also, it's just fun! Feel free to comment on whatever you would like to see, or would like to change.

Hey, there! I know I haven't posted in a long time, but I've had good reason. I've been holed away, somewhere in the mountains, working on new stuff! Whoot! Okay, so maybe I wasn't in the mountains, but I have been thinking up some great products!
So far, there is a greeting card line in the works--Overcast Sentiments. They feature adorable clouds who spread joy...and, in some cases, gloom. That is the whole point of clouds, isn't it? In addition, there will be a spin-off painting series with the same little guys (and gals!). I can't wait for you to see!
Also, there will be Halloween-tines. Why reserve the exchange of cards for just Valentine's Day? I think Halloween deserves a little more than costumes and candy, don't you?
So, stay tuned and I will post another new blog as soon as I have updated my shop.

Frame + Journals

Hello, my little cuppycakes! Excitement is palpable in the Paper Cupcake studio, as I have received my amazing stitching patterns from Sublime Stitching. I've started on some washcloths that say things like "Wash Up" and "Dirty, Dirty" in rockin' tattoo font. Fun, fun!
Also, there are a couple of journals and a frame up. Personally, I LOVE making these frames because I can match them to whatever decor I have to work with. Naturally, custom orders are always welcome.

In addition, I'm attending a virtual lab on Etsy that is all about cupcake-themed things. How perfect, right?
